[From Pierre Becher] Since I don't use statuses for CRM sales stages, but custom fields (because subtasks inherit status of parent task), I don't really have a benefit of this feature.
Instead I would suggest a "Time in Custom Field" feature as well, at least for those custom fields that can only have one value at a time, e.g. dropdown.

For PM use case, I'm more interested in "Time in Phase". Currently we use Phases as statuses - which isn't ideal. I'd love to uses statuses as intended (to do, in progress, done), but tasks grouped by phase (dropdown), with the ability to report on time in phase.

I have a use case where tasks are shared between spaces and therefore have to use the same ClickUp statuses. Some spaces use a custom field to capture the "status" that is specific to that space, and it would be very helpful to see how much time a task has spent in that custom field "status".

This would be wonderful! same exact idea as 'time in status' - but for our custom field statuses.
