See Estimates on Calendar

I'd love to be able to see estimates in the calendar view. If a task has a due date then the estimate would extend back in time so you can estimate when you need to start the task. If the task has a start date the estimate would extend forward in time towards a potential due time.
If a task has both start and due dates, it would be good to have estimated time indicated in the calendar along side so you can predict where the gaps and shortfalls will be.
In the Unscheduled Tasks list to the side it would be great to have an indication of estimated time (and be able to sort by them) so I can easily see when I'm being too ambitious planning my day or week, and also so when I have gaps in the week I can quickly find a task to slot in there

Agreed. End time if task should be start date + number of hours estimate in the Estimate field.

Hey there Tim! Thank you for the feedback! We actually do have this functionality already in Time view! Click on the settings gear and check the "Time Estimates" item. :)

Tarun Masani: Thanks that's really useful, I thought I was missing something.
How about getting more accurate representation on the calendar, so if I have a task that is estimated for 20mins it shouldn't take up an hour block on the calendar?

Tim Green: Great question! The calendar goes based on start time & due time. When a task is being scheduled from the Time view, it should automatically allocate enough time for the time estimate. Let me know if this is not the case, and I'll be happy to investigate this further. :)

Tarun Masani: I see what you are saying, and yes it does work to a degree, but only for tasks that are longer that an hour. If I have a task estimated for only 10mins, or a task set with start and due date of 30mins (a meeting for example) it still takes up an hour block on the calendar. I presume this is a default of the way the calendar is built, so it is working correctly, I'd just like the option for smaller blocks of time - 15mins would be fine. But for larger chunks of time it works well.

Tim Green: Hey Tim! We'll get this updated to work with 30-minute intervals. The reason we can't do it for less than that is there just simply isn't enough space to give information about the task in that small of a frame. Thanks!

Zeb: Thanks Zeb! Understand there are limitations, even 30mins will help me plan better so it is appreciated
Zeb
Tim Green: Awesome! And my pleasure
