Security Permissions for Creating Task Types

There are no security permissions that can be set to control who can create a task type. We want to limit this to specific roles. We are on the custom field by task type beta and having other users able to create multiple task types can get confusing.

Hey Joseph Plaizier, thanks for your feedback! At the moment, only admins should be able to create and edit task types. Can you share more about what you're seeing in your workspace?
You can take a look at this help center article for more information on task types by user role - https://help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/30661182619671-Custom-task-types-feature-availability-and-limits#h_01JPB8SHR2MQQHK2K62K66X0AM

Raina Ahuja thanks for the quick response. Thank you for the help center article. I appreciate the information and the resource.
What I am seeing is we have a user who has a member role who was able to create a task type. I have provided some screenshots to show you what I'm seeing. (Don't let the Area/Dept Admin name fool you. It has the word "Admin" in the name, but it's actually created based off the Member role. This user had another limited member role previously to this current role.) I've included screenshots of the user and his role who created the task type, a screenshot showing that the role is a member based role, and finally a screenshot of the Task Type screen showing which task type he created and with his name as the one who created it.

Joseph Plaizier: Thank you for all the details! On my end, I've confirmed that it shouldn't be possible for members to create task types even through the custom fields by task type beta. Do you mind writing into support so they can help us get the right information to troubleshoot this further? Appreciate it!
