Search and replace for docs
Basil Weibel
It can happen that for example marketing terminology changes. Currently you cannot search and replace in clickup docs. So this would be useful.

At the very least, we need the ability to search a word on the doc and just through each instance.

any updates on this?

I've just switched back to Google Docs because Clickup docs still don't have a search feature.

Looking forward to this feature!!!! If we want Clickupall-in to be an all in tool, we need features like these for us to use it more.

I just put the wrong date in about 20 places in a document and have to manually change 8/18/24 to 9/18/24. Please add a Find and Replace.
MacWrite on my Mac had this in 1984. That's 40 years ago, folks.
Even if there's complexities with F&R across multiple Spaces or multiple Docs, adding it within a doc would be 90% of what I think we all need.

Agreed - this is a massive oversight. Confluence has had this "feature" for as long as I could remember. Nearly 2025 - I doubt anyone considers this a feature anymore. I remember my Borland IDE back in the 80s with this "feature" too.

Hello the team,
Where are you with that feature ?
I also adopted Clickup and just realized this very basic thing isn't available...so ?
Thanks

Was just submitting a similar request but for ticket descriptions. Figured I'd throw my support here in hopes that this feature could be available in both places. Thoughts below.

Use case: Write an entire lengthy ticket description. Decide an element of the project's terminology has changed ("enabled" is now being referred to as "published"). Or, I just want to write freely and quickly, then correct capitalization of a product name later in a quick search-and-replace.
In ClickUp, I have no way to quickly search and replace these phrases. If I copy my content over to a different document editor or a ChatGPT window, I lose all formatting. Even basic formatting is lost, let alone toggles and other formatting specific to ClickUp.
Using "Help me write" AI assist from Google in Chrome within the ClickUp window is also not an option, formatting is lost with that method as well.
Starting my writing in a different service just to have search-and-replace available, then bringing it over to ClickUp for final reformatting, is tedious. Plus I'd only get one shot at it.

Would still really love to see this, as we've switched all of our documents off of Google Docs and onto ClickUp, but certain tasks like large terminology changes are becoming VERY cumbersome now.

Search and replace is critical for efficient content management. We use ClickUp for our company wiki, and we need the ability to search for all instances of a team name, a product name, an email, or a certain term to update them when they change.
