In comments for our projects, I often write contacts and their phone numbers using 123.456.7890 format. Because of the period "." when I search for 7890 I get nothing. if the phone number was written with dashes "-" instead of periods, the search would give positive results. Please please please allow all parsed text to be searchable, without regard for the type of punctuation used.

This affects a decent amount of our workflow.
