Screenshot & Image Markup on Desktop App
Corey Huddleston
The Chrome plugin's screenshot feature is great, and we like it, but it only works in the browser's viewport. I would like to take screenshots outside of the viewport, for example in the browser's inspector (screenshot of code for a developer), or a screenshot of Sketch or Photoshop to quickly markup. This is not possible with the Chrome extension.

Also it would be nice if the screen shot is copied directly to the clipboard or at least add a button to copy it. That would save a lot of time

We would also like that feature. currently we use gyazo, which does that very well. extending the new clips feature with screenshots of whole or selected area and adding notes would be great
Salvatore Nicolazzo
does this include the screen recording as well?

If we had the functionality of the Chrome Extension on the Desktop app then that would be perfect! I love the possibility of blurring the snip I just taken of the browser, but being able to do that on desktop would make it totally a must have for anyone!

Yes... Just yes! This is a must have 💪

I'm really looking forward to this! Evernote's desktop screenshot functionality just suffered a serious degradation.
I have two requests:
- That the screenshot key be customizeable, for example 'can use multiple-key-combo OR printscreen key'
- Upon hitting keystroke (or releasing the selected area of the screen with the mouse), the screenshot instantly goes to a 'finished and shareable' state. For instance, the screenshot goes into a task, but it's also instantly available to drag somewhere else. The important thing is that it shouldn't take 4 clicks to use that new image - it should be available onscreen with one keystroke, one drag to select area, and one drag to plop the image in slack, messenger, or a clickup task.
Thank you for your thoughtful approach!

Just to be clear - I am requesting a much faster workflow than the current Chrome extension. It has far too many decisions and clicks to be fast for screenshotting right now, even though it's a cool extension.

Jeremy Pope: I agree with this -> I want the screenshot shortcut to be customizable, and I would love if the screenshot was instantly available to be "pasted" from the clipboard. Also, if the screenshot is marked up in any way, like arrows added, or blur added, the marked-up version should be instantly updated on the clipboard as well.

Or screenshot the whole page, not just the visible part

I would also like to see this added to the toolbar in the desktop app. I typically use this too screen shot tasks from inbox and use the desktop app to keep from getting distracted while in Chrome. Is there an update on this feature?

[from support] A tool that would allow you to mark up a pdf and send it for approval. For instance, a project may be to create a Product Sheet. Once it is created, a PDF would be sent to various folks for approval or edits.

Wes Brummette: Do we know when this feature is expected to release? Thank you!
Michael Powers
So this is going to be available for .pdf's also Wes Brummette Waleed Elaghil? This is one thing my company is really whining about.
Waleed Elaghil
Hey Michael Powers! Yes that's the plan, but we don't have an ETA for this yet. It's definitely in our pipeline, though!
