I would like to request the ability to automatically roll up (sum, average, or aggregate) number custom fields from subtasks to their parent task in ClickUp. This would work similarly to the current Time Estimates and Time Tracking rollup features, but for any custom field of type “number.”
Why this is important:
Many workflows require tracking quantities, costs, or other numeric values at the subtask level and seeing the total at the parent task.
Manual calculation or dashboard workarounds are time-consuming and error-prone.
This feature would improve reporting, project management, and data accuracy for teams using custom number fields.
Suggested functionality:
Option to enable rollup for specific number custom fields.
Ability to choose the aggregation method (sum, average, min, max).
Display the rolled-up value on the parent task, with a breakdown if needed.

Caroline Ginty Appreciete the update. This is a feature that would greatly benefit my company. I look forward to seeing it included in your roadmap sometime in 2026 or 2027. Based on the number of upvotes, I believe many users share the same anticipation.

This would need to work exactly as Time Tracking, which separates the value set on the task itself, from the value rolled up from child tasks. This would allow the "condensed" sum of both aspects be visible in views/columns.
It'd be ideal that all formula fields which are numeric were able to be treated the same way.

This is important for linked tasks where subtasks end up collecting additional information important to the parent.
