Require User Permissions to Delete Attachments
Gail Marek
It's currently really easy to accidentally delete attachments from tasks, clickup documents, etc., and there is no 'undo' or 'CTRL+Z' functionality to re-attach the file to fix the mistake.
We use ClickUp to manage production for our Department of Agriculture regulated farming operation. For this reason specifically, the information stored on tasks and in ClickUp documents (including as files and attachments) are critical to our government certifications and authorizations.
Current functionality allows for inadvertently removing attachments too easily—especially on accident by just clicking in the wrong location on the screen.
A warning message asking to confirm removal of an attachment before permanently removing or deleting it from any location (task, document, etc.) would be much 'safer' than just clicking an "x" and having it disappear. This is a different ask than requiring permissions for certain users to be able to delete only their attachments. This is specifically regarding the ease in which users, who've got appropriate permission, are able to make a mistake in which critical data is accidentally deleted that they are not able to easily recover.
