I recently attempted to pull in time tracking information from one list to the dashboard I had created in another list but learned this was not possible. This would be highly useful for comparing time estimates and time tracked in my organization, and I would love to be able to pull in information from one list to my dashboard view within another list -- not just in the dashboard main hub.

This is now in Production! In Dashboard views, you are now able to report on locations outside of the location the Dashboard view is on.
Note that Overviews are still restricted to the location the Dashboard view is on.

Lily Chan yes, so I have a dashboard within a list, and it would be very convenient to pull in information from other lists for comparisons but I am not currently able to do that

Actually we will be rolling out soon the ability to report on locations outside of the location the Dashboard view is on, so this is coming soon - will be available by end of October. I'll keep this task up-to-date so you hear the latest. Going to update the title of this feature request so that it's more clear.
