Reorder folderless lists - not able to place it above folders.

Will we be able to set custom order of folders and folderless lists? Right now it's not possible to place a folderless list above a folder. It's counterintuitive and doesn't allow to customize the workflow.
Pretty please :)

Arranging of Folders and Lists

It would be nice to arrange folders and lists in any order I prefer. For example I have a general "To Do" list in my space, and I would like it to be at the top of the stack above all of my other folders and lists, but right now the best I can do is put it at the top of all of the lists.

Rearranging lists inside folders

I created multiple lists in a folder and noticed I couldn't drag and rearrange the order of lists in a folder. I found out that I could manage the order of lists in a folder on the left sidebar, but would need to refresh the page to activate the change.
It would be nice if I can rearrange lists within folders and don't need to refresh the page to reflect the changes

Our team could definitely use something like this. Vincent, I see this request is marked future, any idea on a potential timeframe for this?

This feature will help with workflow across our teams.

Please make it so we can reorder the subfolders.

Same needs here. Alpha order for folders and lists is helpful for our team.

Workaround: Create a fake folder beginning with a "_" and put the lists inside. It will stick on the top. Not nice, but okay.

Hey everyone!
Thanks for all who have been voting here! I see some use cases here, like posting SOP docs above folders to have it from of mind but could you share other recent scenarios where you needed a folderless list specifically above a folder and how having it on top would’ve smoothed out your workflow?
Would love to gather some information.

Vincent In my "Client Work" space, I have one single client list with a task for each client. Each of these clients then have a client folder, where the rest of their specific work lists/tasks/docs live. My team often needs to access the list of clients from the top of the space without scrolling past all the folders. It serves almost like a table of contents for all the folders below. Same goes for our time tracking list- most clients have a retainer task that serves as a bucket for tracking all the time we spend working on their services. These all live in one list so we can easily 'clock in/out' from clients without going elsewhere. This would be nice to have at the top of the client work space, too, so we don't have to scroll all the way to the bottom beneath the folders.

Vincent Basically the same as Alister. I have a List of "Orders" with lots of custom fields to define the details. Then each order has an associated folder of tasks made from a template with all the detailed tasks needed to fulfill the order. We need to refer to the top-level details in the list more frequently than the nitty-gritty details in the folders.

Vincent asset management lists, client lists - similar to what Alister shared. A birds-eye list that includes select projects from multiple folders in a space (but not the entire space, so a space-level view doesn't work and forces the addition of CFs across places they don't need to be). Those are just a few use cases.

Vincent just to sort mand organise my lists according to the priority/attention they should get. It could change through time, so being able to manually change it would be great.
There aee space(s) I made folder(s) for lists that are really low priority for the moment : i want the lists to stay but really i don't need it before quite some time so i don't want it in my sight. It could also be the case for documents. Putting these temporary 'useless' folders first in the spaces is kind of the contrary of what i need and want.

Vincent I have a projects folder with a list for each client, but some of the clients have multiple projects, so I put them in a folder for that client. BUT the ones with the most projects is not neccesaryly the one I'm working on.
I also use docs as place for general projects notes, so that would be nice to have on top.

Vincent I have a spaces called "Clients". In this Space every client have their own folders.
I would like to be able to place a list for NPS-surveys performed by my team at the very top in this space.
As of now it's located at the end of a 200+ list of folders.
