Remove status indicator from inline tasks

We often mention specific tasks in documentation or meeting notes, and the status indication launched in 4.0 is very distracting. We LOVE having the task type symbol there, but the status is too much. Can that be turned off? Or, even better, could we have the option of customizing what is shown on inline tasks in docs?

While the circular status indicator before the inline link is helpful, having the same word after seems redundant. The bigger issues is that it adds a lot of distracting text when you have a lot of links.

In 4.0, any task that is mentioned in a doc or description has the status color, icon, and now the status title and assignee. The information is redundant, and clutters up any documents that reference multiple tasks.
It would be great to have the option to curate what is visible, or at least to revert it back to the 3.0 version [Icon + color + Task name]. without having the giant "IN PROGRESS (ME)" next to the task name.
