Here because I am trying to do this. I want the task to be removed from the added list when I move it to a certain status. Please make this happen.

It would be really helpful to remove from additional list automation or even option to move to list and remove from all other lists would work. Desperately need this option

Why is this not prioritised? I can literally see feature requests done with less than 10 votes in your roadmap. :)

Shedding some more light on this to get it into the spotlight. Took it for granted that this could be done since there's an automation to "add task to list" I figured it would naturally follow that there would be an automation to "remove from list" as well. Not the case.
Use case: When status equal "active" add to main list for visibility.
When status equal "inactive" remove from main list.
currently, i can add the active item to main list with automation, but i cannot remove it?!

Very Important; I was setting up an automation and stuck.
Example one of our task is created in design list and now we added it to operations list. But operation team came to know that this ticket is not related to them and hence added to Development department, but via automation I cannot remove it from operations list

Zeb I made this request nearly 2 years ago and many people have upvoted it, this seems to be a feature many people want. How can this be prioritized, the people want this, and it would be a huge help for my team's workflow

Came here to ask for this exact feature. Have a graveyard of tasks that need manual removal. Seems like a basic feature since we have "delete from list" already implemented. Is "Remove from list" really that tough to get off the ground? I am not a coder but I would venture to say probably not.
Fellow users, A work-around I found (Still not automated but less clicks) is using the "Lists" Column to display all lists a task is in. You can click in the space around the literal lists in that column to remove it. Little less tedious than the ellipsis or right clicking and hitting remove. Clicking on the list will take you to the space the task is in.
I use this for managing video projects that live in multiple places.

This needs to be resolved asap please - it’s making the add to list feature difficult to properly implement as leaves a graveyard of non-needed tasks that need manual removal…

Requested nearly 2 years ago. Won't hold my breath then. Agree with everyone else here, an important feature that should have been added when "add to list" was implemented. Seeing lots of useless updates lately. Please listen to what people are actually asking for!
