I have a user that is part of 3 teams and because I've shared the "IDC Roadmap" with all 3 teams (for which there is minimal, but some, overlap in membership), there are 3 copies of the same shared item.

Even crazier, is that if I collapse one "Steering Committee" folder, all 3 collapse. So, the system knows it's the same but doesn't know it's being displayed multiple times.
