Relationships Tasks & Lookup Automation
Conrad A. Villa
First of all, loving the addition of relationships.
Might I suggest a custom label for items (tasks) under a List (object) For instance, I'm integrated with Hubspot and have created a COMPANY and CONTACT lists and the "tasks" are not tasks, they are companies and clients (records) Just nomenclature, but it makes things more relatable.
Addtionally, I have an "external ID" custom field in both lists that are brought over from Hubspot as their record ID, so in CONTACTS I have a reference to ASSOCIATED COMPANY ID. I'd love it if we can have an automation that when a record is added to CONTACTS, if contacts.associated_company_id = company.company_id the records can become related.

Hi CU Team, this automation with XLOOKUP and IF logical conditions incl nested IFS would be a "must have" feature, especially working with lists (that should be acting as a relational database - where one to many & many to one can exist without manual linking or roll ups. Manual linking will increase user input risk and that would affect the data integrity of the system itself. Please provide feedback regarding this. Thank you. Looking forward to a more advanced update.

This would be so helpful with tasks that have subtasks!

Zach looking for lookup automations in a way like this: when X happens in task A, go and lookup another task B (find by various criteria) and do Y to task B. I know it's complex, but are cross-task automations on the agenda?

This would be amazingly helpful!!!

I can second this request, so often I use a relationship feature to keep track of everything, but I would love to be able to send an email directly from ClickUp using the email field in the relationship/other task, saves me manually entering all these fields, or creating a tedious amount of automations to do the same.
