Rather than having to quit the desktop app to refresh it, maybe a refresh button included?

Brendan W: The fact that we have to refresh is the issue.
Brendan W
JTK: We're actively working on websockets issues and making it so you don't have to refresh! This is actually an extremely important ongoing effort on our side, which effects both web and the desktop app (same underlying technology/system).
But that doesn't mean we don't need a good refresh button/function too!

Brendan W: It's the underlying tech that worries me. I hope you can fix it. This is a longstanding issue.

Ctrl+R works great on the Linux desktop app. I would guess it functions the same on windows. Cmd+R on Mac.

Ctrl+R refreshes everything for me in the Desktop app, would that not work for everyone else?

Please let me refresh on the desktop app without have to close/reopen a task or something, it's very clunky.

Agreed. F5 would be the best hotkey for this. It's natural. I find myself continually trying to hit it to refresh the page.
Of course, the need to refresh stems from the root issue of not having the data sync'd up, but a refresh is much easier to implement for the time being I would imagine.

or just ability to use spacebar everywhere like in the notifications view.

Yes PLEASE. It's annoying to have to constantly go to another page and come back every time a change is made.
Gary Dickerson
Please. F5 in Windows app would be great for us old, ingrained users.
