I couldn't agree more. This is a constant and daily aggravation. The text in a Task’s Comments section is Single Spaced which is perfect and as it should be. However, in the Task Description and the Task Checklist sections, the text is Double-Spaced. Double-Spacing wastes a lot of space between the rows of text and makes it necessary for your users to have to scroll up/down in order to read long Descriptions and Checklists. Not only does this spacing cause you to have to scroll constantly, but it is inconvenient and doesn’t look very good either. The way I see it, either single-spacing is good ... or it isn’t. I think it
is
good. So, why would you want to use line spacing of 1.5 or 2.0 when 1.0 works great and looks much better. So, I hope you will consider making the spacing in the Task Description and Task Checklist sections to Single Spacing, like the spacing is in the Comment section of the Task. Thanks in advance for your consideration.M

There used to be less linespacing. So why was it doubled? Fewer visible lines makes these views even harder to read. Long text fields need to be condensed. The whole point is that it will contain a lot of text. This isn't a feature request. This is a regression defect in my opinion.
