Recurring Goals (or Habits)
Gavin Carvell
Loving the new goals feature. One thing I would love to be able to do is create recurring goals either for creating habits or hitting targets that reset every day/week/month/year.
For example, I may have a goal to do x number of phone calls a week. So I can easily set this up by creating a goal that tracks completed tasks in a list, but every week I would have to create a new goal.
I would also like to be able to see this history so I can see in week 1 I hit it, in week 2 I didn't, etc.
Would probably need to be linked to due dates so that the phone calls I need to do next week don't negatively affect this week's goal.

I thought I would gives Goals another look, but I also wanted to use it like a habit tracker, such as start the day out with a glass of water. The recurring feature is needed.

I would love it if I could track my daily habits and see how I managed to accomplish them over time.
For example:
I have a goal to run 2 times a week (can be either by weekdays or 7 days back) and during this time seeing my status so I can plan how many running slots should I put into my calendar will be great.

We would also love to have this feature! We need it to track our monthly OKR

REPEATING GOAL: drink the right amount of water. It is very important every day. When we are thirsty, the heart beats faster. The organism is not optimal. Therefore, these types of tasks should be treated as goals, because you can also add 300 ml of water in place of TARGET PURPOSE NO when you drink a glass and control this aspect.

I use Strides but something like Strides in clickup would be amazing so I could keep everything in one place.

I would love this to help me make sure I'm reaching my hourly goal every day!

Any progress on this dear Clickup team? This is so important for so many use cases, including my team. We won't be able to make use of the Clickup goals feature without it.

I would love to be able to create a goal that
- Automatically resets every day (or week or month).
- Measures how many tasks I complete from a given list or folder or space
- And/or measures how many urgent priority (or high or normal) tasks I complete in that time frame.
- And recognizes (somehow) that items that are 'waiting' are done for the day, because further action cannot be taken on those items. Maybe 'waiting' counts as finished - that would be the easiest option I imagine.
So less of a habit tracker (although that sounds awesome and would be really useful) and more of a daily ta-da! measurement. Right now if I have a goal measuring items completed in my Today list, it is cumulative from day to day, so each day when I add items to the list, my percentage drops. Negative reinforcement. :-(
