Quick Rename for Clips
Anthony Blatner
Love the new clips feature - and the pop-up when done. I always want to be able to rename the clip to describe what it is when I send it to someone else.
- Want to be able to quickly rename the clip on the pop-up that appears when a clip finishes.
- Want to be able to quickly rename the clip on the clip view screen.
Currently I have to go to the All Clips page to be able to rename, which is rather annoying to have to do the extra clicks, so then I just don't bother renaming and then all of my clips are a mess.

Rename Clip after popup appears with link
Andrew Tomassetti
We are using clips more and more as we try and migrate off snagit. It's nice to have everything in one place and easily accessible. However, Once you start creating lots of clips, if you don't name them right away, you have no idea what they are and can't search for them, and probably never will look at them again. This issue could be easily solved by allow to name the video at the point where the popup comes up at the bottom left of the screen once its ready to share.
Currently, we have to leave our flow of work to go to the Clip hub tab, rename, them re-open the task we were working on and if it's not added to the tray, sometimes hard to recall.
This is one of those that seems simple, but just makes things ten times better and efficient. Picture if you were to create tasks and the task didn't ask you to name it, you would have an entire list of "Task" not knowing what any of them were created for. Everything needs a title. Screenshots in the Chrome Extension, and Clips in the browser experience.

Would love to see this as well.

This is something I waste a ton of time on, constantly going to the clip hub to rename before pasting the link into a task. Before I started renaming I had and still have hundreds of "Screen-recording-xxx..." not knowing what anything was. It would be fantastic to be able to rename from whereever you create the clip, whether that's from the comment area on a task, or from the top and seeing the popup at the bottom left with the copy link.
Also, whenever pasting the link, there is the option to hide preview/copy link, etc, that would be a perfect place to enable a rename, so it can done within Docs, Descriptions within tasks, etc.
This simple improvement would save a lot of time for anyone using Clips regularly.

Agreed! And please return the use of the . to names. It is beyond frustrating having to use a different naming convention ONLY for clips.
