Quick & easy status change in time view
complete
Sarah
I love the time view as it keeps me on track during the day. When I am done with a task, however, in order to mark it complete or move it to the next status in the workflow, the detailed task window opens up. I'd love to have a simple tick box or "next" arrow like in the detailed view, or even a clickable colored square drop-down like in list view.

This can be done by hovering on the task on Calendar view then moving the mouse to the left for the status box to show 🙂

Waleed Elaghil: Hi ..when I try to change the status this way, it does not change I get the following error message -
Invalid status. Please refresh the page and try again.
ITEM_117
Unfortunately refreshing the page does not do anything either.
The status list in the calendar view is different to the status given to the task in list view. Could this be the problem & if so, am I able to change the status list that I can select from in the calendar view?
Much appreciated.

I'd like to see the option to change status or close a Task as a "right-click" option in Time view.

It would be nice to have the option to close a task as well

Hey there Sarah! Great suggestion! What I recommend here is the MultiTask Toolbar (which you can use in Time View)! To get started, you can select your tasks while holding control (on PCs) or command (on Macs) and then when the multitask toolbar appears, you can quickly change the status of that task without have to open it. Let me know if this helps :)

Tarun Masani: Holding down Command while selecting multiple tasks works as you suggest, to make any bulk edits, which may be useful in some cases. I usually like to check off my tasks one at a time, though. I can right-click on a single task for a quick menu popup. Maybe a friendly DONE or NEXT button could go there?

Sarah: Got it! Thank you for clarifying here. I'll bring this one up to our product team. :)

Tarun Masani: Thanks for suggesting the [Ctrl]-click option as a potential work-around for changing a Task's status without opening it up. I just tried it successfully. Though it may be just as easy to open the Task and change the status there.
