Project & List Dependencies

We break our projects up into different phases and each phase is a list underneath the project. It would be great to set entire lists as dependent upon previous lists so that Phase 2 (and all the tasks, subtasks, etc.) could not be completed until everything in Phase 1 was complete, etc. This would also help move tasks in bulk so that if Phase 1 was moving one week behind, I could just bump all of Phase 2 back a week without having to reschedule each. individual. task.

PLEASE... this would be so helpful

dependencies between list is a must, its absolutely needed, please make this happen and put it on roadmap

That would be great! Dependencies between lists is a must.

Yes sorely needed. This is another aspect of getting some functionality of Tasks into Lists, so they can actually work like Projects per the title of this post!:

Or even a task that is dependent on a task.

This would really be great so we can use this for larger milestones...

Same here, we divide the Milestones of a longer project in Folders and Lists. I need to reschedule every list due date manually if the start date gets moved. Please make list and folder dependencies possible :)

Yeah, if you're going to have dependencies, you need this option!

This is particularly useful when using dependencies across task lists. So if list A's last task is set as a dependency for list B's first task, but later additional tasks are added to list A, which are also required to be completed prior to starting with list B, it would be tedious and error prone to manually update individual tasks' dependencies. If dependencies are set at the list level, no changes are required when adding new tasks.

I agree that this is a must have function and at the same time our project team leads have expressed the need to be able to have automatic changes in the timeline if some dates have been pushed around. So right now in excel you could put formulas on the due dates of each tasks, so you can work you way up from the final due date of the project. This allows the team the flexibility to change the dates for specific tasks while all the dates will be adjusted accordingly. In clickup now, we need to manually adjust the dates of all tasks in the project if we change one, which is frustrating. So hope you guys can introduce the formulas to be embedded so dates will change automatically if there is a delay in some tasks.
