Pricing Adjustment for Limited Access Members
Marge
I appreciate that ClickUp allows us to assign limited access roles to certain users. However, even with restricted permissions (access to only specific lists, folders, or spaces), these users are still being charged at the full member rate.
It would be incredibly helpful if there were a pricing tier or structure that reflects their limited use. Many of these members are collaborators who only need access to a small portion of our workspace and don’t require full functionality.
A more flexible pricing model for limited-access users would make ClickUp much more sustainable for teams with part-time collaborators or occasional contributors.
I hope you guys consider this! :)

Hey everyone,
We really appreciate your feedback, and want to clarify why we made changes to our internal guest/limited member role.
We designed our guest policy to help teams collaborate seamlessly with external users. Guest seats have always been intended for use by individuals outside your organization. This policy ensures fairness and aligns with industry standards, where internal guests are charged as members.
The limited member role replaces the former internal guest role. This improved role provides internal users more functionality, including being assigned to Spaces, having full edit access in Chat, and the ability to create all ClickUp objects (tasks, Docs, Dashboards, etc.).
Thanks for being a part of our community!

I am not voting for that, since I think there is no such thing as limited member.
all member are assigned according to their permissions.
you can keep the no same domain guest rule, but you can't make it retroactive, automatic and with out consent. this is really break all the trust with Clickup.
if you would want to do it honorably, you can only restrict new members, it is bad for users, but it doesn't break trust.
if you must, you can notify all automatic converted users that there acount is going to be view only in 30 days if the admin will not approve them to full seat.
break the trust with pricing but not with Clickup. in that way, an inactive user will never be converted to a seat, like happened to us.
if you don't care about users trust in Clickup, just keep going with what you are doing. it is working well.

Oded G: if you were charged incorrectly for an inactive user, please reach out to our support team for a refund.

... corrected:
It's neatly documented: Guests must be from another @domain. Then it is limited depending on the plan:

I just learned that common domain users are automatically migrated to Limited Access members and charged the same as full-paid members (per seat).
Bring back the Guest Access/Guest user without auto-migrating to Limited access.
Remove the common domain policy.

What is the sense of having limited members when you still have to pay the full price? Limited members, just being able to work on assigned tasks, to put time and feedback in the task is very useful. But now they are so expensive, PM's work around this, by keeping infrequent users completely outside ClickUp.
