Prevent Email to List Create Duplicate Tasks

When someone replies to the email containing a list email address, it shouldn't create a new task, maybe add as comment.

There's an integration app that does this and lots more. casso .app. We use it to do all email to task work in clickup. no dupes, no bugs.

Seconding Andrew, this is an absolutely vital feature for a helpdesk and I'm surprised it hasn't yet been implemented.

This is very necessary - a core feature of most ticketing systems. If you can email to a task to start the thread, opening a new thread for every reply is a major mistake. Most other systems create will automatically parse email threads into the appropriate workflow for you.
Context: Mail to List to start new task creates a new task for every email AND REPLY to that initial email. It should only originate a new task at the first instance of that email thread.

This feature is quite critical for us, as we started using ClickUp for CRM purposes too. Having duplicates adds a lot of admin work to delete duplicate data. I think the logic for that implementation should be rather simple: "add any new response to a list from an external email as a comment, once an email is sent from within the task to that external email". parts of this logic are already implemented in ClickUp, you just need to revert the existing flow and add a boolean value for "email sent from within a task".
