Hello ClickUp Product Team,
I would like to submit a feature request regarding PDF export and printing of tasks and ClickUp Docs.
At the moment, when exporting or printing to PDF, internal ClickUp links are rendered as generic text such as “Private (https://app.clickup.com/…)”
, even though the URL itself is visible.
Requested enhancement:
When exporting or printing to PDF, please preserve and display the actual name of the linked ClickUp element, for example:
🔵 Task name
instead of Private (https://app.clickup.com/…)
This should apply to:
  • Task links
  • Subtask links
  • Doc links
  • Any internal ClickUp entity
The link text in the PDF should match what is shown inside ClickUp (task name, document title, etc.), while remaining clickable.
Why this is important:
  • Improves readability and professionalism of exported documents
  • Makes PDFs usable for audits, technical documentation, and ISO/regulatory purposes
  • Avoids ambiguity when reviewing documents offline or sharing with external stakeholders
Ideally, this behavior should be default, as it reflects how links are displayed inside ClickUp itself.
