We used LiquidPlanner for many years, and this is honestly one of the few features we really miss since moving to ClickUp.

The biggest value wasn’t simply automatic scheduling, it was the fact that the plan continuously adapted to reality. When a task was delayed, a due date changed, a project was put on hold, or priorities shifted, LiquidPlanner automatically recalculated the downstream schedule and adjusted the workload across projects and people.

That saved an enormous amount of time. Instead of project managers spending hours every day or week manually moving dates, checking dependencies, balancing workloads and figuring out what needed to move next, the system did much of that work automatically.

This was especially valuable for us because many of our users were working on projects where their workload was planned by other people. The moment something changed, the impact was reflected throughout the plan without someone having to manually reschedule hundreds of tasks.

When we moved to ClickUp, we were able to replace Trello and Basecamp with one platform, which was a huge improvement. But we also had to give up LiquidPlanner’s predictive scheduling capabilities for cost reasons.

Bringing this functionality to ClickUp could be a game changer. Not just a nice scheduling feature, but a system that continuously keeps the plan realistic and tells you what needs to move when reality changes.

The potential time savings for project managers would be massive.

This would be fantastic. Functionality similar to SkedPal or Rescoper would ensure that all the info for a task goes into an algorithm that automagically schedules and "time blocks" the tasks for you.

If you're late with 1 activity, it's already enough to consume time moving estimated finish date for all 1.000.000 other different activities.
