Pleeeease make a HOTKEY for updating the date

In Trello I was able to hover over the task and then hit "d" on my keyboard, and it would bring up the date selector. I got very used to this . . . and it's killing me that I can't quickly get to the date anymore. Since Clickup has Hotkeys, please assign a hotkey for date selection.

p.s. I realize that "d" is already in use for Dashboard. My suggestion is to use something like "h" (home?) or "alt" for the dashboard, and reassign "d" for date. Even cooler would be to let us assign our own hotkeys :)

Feature Request: Custom Keyboard Shortcuts and Proper Multi Select Support
Please add fully customizable keyboard shortcuts similar to VS Code.
Right now, ClickUp’s keyboard shortcut system is both limited and inefficient. Many default shortcuts are unused or low value, yet users cannot remap them to actions they actually rely on. This is wasted shortcut real estate.
More importantly, ClickUp is missing extremely basic multi select behavior that exists in file explorers and most modern productivity tools:
• Shift + click should select a continuous range of tasks from the currently selected task to the target task
• Ctrl or Cmd + click should allow individual task selection
• Ctrl or Cmd + A should select all tasks in the current view
These are table stakes interactions. Not having them makes basic admin work like cleanup, bulk edits, and organization far more time consuming than the actual task work. Too many clicks, too much friction.
Power users live on the keyboard. We actively prefer shortcuts over mouse driven workflows. The lack of standard selection mechanics and the inability to customize shortcuts significantly hurts productivity and makes ClickUp feel clunky compared to tools like VS Code.
Until core interactions like selecting multiple tasks efficiently are resolved, it’s hard to justify paying for the platform when simple organizational work takes longer than it should.
Custom keyboard shortcuts plus standard multi select behavior would be a massive quality of life improvement and a clear win for serious users.

So there is still no command, hot key to directly set the eg. start date, to a date (eg. today)? I was trying to use my stream deck so that I could at least set the dates on new tickets emailed in with a start date of today... without having to play with the subject line in the email, but can't seem to get anything to work. Yes I can go in and use the slash commands, manually.. but can't seem to get clickup and stream deck to work together.

We have quick task entry shortcuts, but no shortcuts to edit the due dates, the main point of using shortcuts is to not to touch the mouse and only use the keyboard, so what's the point of not having shortcuts for other quick entry toolboxes, like Date, Sprint, Tag, etc. Please Add shortcuts to every single piece of ClickUp. Thanksssss

The ; hotkey in spread sheets to mark in today's date is something I use extensively and would be most welcome in ClickUp

Zeb: That's fantastic to hear. Hotkeys and /commands (though I'd love if they worked without the slash) are the greatest time savers.
