Toggle view in Docs /Task Description (idea derived from Notion)
B
BroJar
DOCS and Task Description facilitate to generously manipulate the text. We have a markdown feature. We are able to instantly convert a block of text into bulleted list, checklist, numeric list.
My suggestion is to add toggle list.
Toggle option in Notion.so allows for nesting text further under toggled text.
In result, we obtain neatly organized rich descriptions.
Of course, the text under toggle view must be fully searchable to make ClickUp extension of our brains (as Evernote was once dubbed) :)
See the attached picture to get a glimpse of how Notion handles my request for feature.

"Collapse" Sections in Docs
Morgan
Similar to how Microsoft's OneNote allows you to structure a document into a functional hierarchy that you can use as a part of your workflow, it would be cool to allow elements within a ClickUp doc to be "collapsible" (e.g. if I had a section that said "Company Listings" I might not want a whole page or two taken up by bullet points of "Yelp," "AngelList," etc. but it would be cool to see just the section header and a little "tab" icon that I could use to collapse or uncollapse sections).
This would be awesome for creating a highly-functional wiki system that could be used for all sorts of cross-sectional or reference materials.
People could see as much, or as little, detail as necessary to accomplish the work at hand. That way, if you needed to gain a "bird's eye" view of things, you could evaluate the main substance of a topic, but if you had needs for a key detail, you could also plunge in (now more aware than ever of its position, as it is well-nested in the hierarchy itself).

Now, you can use the Toggle List /Slash Command to easily show and hide different block elements 😃🚀
Avoid information overload by dropping elements or adding text inside a toggle!
Plus, you can even nest toggles under each other!

Waleed Elaghil: I know this is already marked as Complete. However, I find Toggle List isn't quite working for me. I think part of it is that I'm unable to select a large amount of text (say, a paragraph or two) and collapse it at once. Can this be added? Perhaps to the formatting toolbar so one can select a chunk of text and make it collapse?
Waleed Elaghil
Hey Joanna Sun! I understand where you're coming from. Would being able to move a couple of text blocks inside a toggle block in bulk work for you?

Hi Waleed Elaghil, thanks for the reply. Honestly, I am not sure! That would certainly help, I'm just trying to think whether the UI would be easy/efficient. Select and drag into block? I think that would work.
Waleed Elaghil
Joanna Sun: Yes, that's exactly how it might be. You would create a toggle, then select multiple text blocks and drag-n-drop into the toggle block.
I've created another feature request for this and added you as a voter to stay updated 🙂

Waleed Elaghil: thanks. I look forward to seeing how it would work. Collapsible sections are very important for organizing and structuring large amounts of material!

The ability to hide paragraphs or large content with the toggle feature using / command would be very useful to avoid vertical scrolling.

Toggle in docs is much needed. It helps to write and manage content more efficiently.

A toggle in Docs is important when a page becomes too long.
