We'd love to see two related improvements to the ClickUp Planner experience:
  1. Convert "Work on" blocks into meetings
When dragging a task from the Backlog onto the Planner, ClickUp creates a scheduled block labeled "Work on [Task Name]". This is a great workflow, but currently there's no way to convert that block into a video meeting (Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
The only workaround is to create a Calendar event directly on the Planner, declare it as a meeting, and then manually search for and link the related task — which adds unnecessary friction and defeats the purpose of the drag-and-drop flow.
Proposed behavior: Add an option on the scheduled block (e.g. a "Convert to meeting" action or a meeting type toggle) that allows users to attach a video conferencing link directly from the block, without losing the task association.
  1. Show list/folder context in task search results
When searching for a task to link within the Planner, results only show the task name — no list or project context. In workspaces with many similarly-named tasks (e.g. multiple "SAL" tasks across different projects), it becomes very difficult to identify the correct one.
Proposed behavior: Display the list (and optionally folder/space) name alongside each task in search results, so users can immediately distinguish between tasks with identical or similar names.
Why this matters:
Both issues slow down scheduling workflows, especially in workspaces managing multiple concurrent projects. These changes would make the Planner a much more reliable hub for daily planning without requiring workarounds.
