Password protected public view (List, task, form)

Hi team,
The release of public view sharing for different entities is opening up a lot of options.
To had a simple security rather than just "anyone with the link", could you add an option to password protect the links? I know it's not as secure as a guest login and I can go that route but it's a simple way to control who accesses the data without the extra hassle.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions! Password protection is definitely something we’re considering as an additional way to secure public links in the future. In the meantime, I recommend checking out our early access for authentication for public views using OIDC, which provides a more secure way to control access. Do we have an update on this? I feel that Public Views are massively overcomplicated when they don't need to be re sharing/permissions/attachments/clips etc.
Would this post https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/attachments-and-clips-urls-behind-workspace-authorization be simpler if we could just password protect public links
and also allow publicly sharing dashboards with a password https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/support-publicly-shared-dashboards.
Am I missing something? It can't be just me that's really confused by all the variables.

100% agreed. There needs to be a mechanism to protect internal forms, dashboards, etc rather than having to just post them on the open internet.
