Optional projects / Portfolio V2
Alexander Selle
Hey there,
what we're currently missing is the ability to get an overview over all the active projects.
It would therefore be nice to create something like an optional
"Project" entity
, maybe as ClickApp.Creating a project would allow you to:
- add EXISTINGspaces/folders/lists to that project
- define a due date
- define a status(for example negotiating/started/unbilled/...)
- define a time budget(fixed/ per month / per week / ... and compare it to the actual time tracked in that period)
- select EXISTING views that are important for this project (mainly thinking about linking documentation and activities here)

Hey guys, Jarred Abbott and @henrique-rossato-1I am talking about a lot of this stuff over here, feel free to vote as well and I have supported this request too!:
ClickUp is really missing a good “Project” function that would include all you’re talking about. I am increasingly disappointed that this isn’t a higher priority. Lists and Goals are extremely lacking, the only option right now of any entity in ClickUp with Project Management capability is the Task itself, but it’s very limiting to use a task to try to manage a whole project!

I would love this feature.
I would also consider being able to assign an "owner" or project manager to the project. Maybe an option to designate a group of individuals into a team assigned to the project for the purpose of project wide notifications, workload tracking, and probably some other things if I think long enough I'd imagine.
Adding on to what Alex said about views in his last bullet point, I think some kind of view dashboard, where it aggregates the views in some manner might be worth exploring. However, I could see getting overwhelming with a lot of lists/folders in the project. Something to chew on.

We also need this overview of all active projects to see which one is late, forward or on the target based on project due date versus current due date looking the last task on a folder.
