Subtask Notifications

I only want to receive notifications for subtasks that I'm assigned to. I don't want to get messages for subtasks that I'm not assigned to, even though I'm assigned to the main task.

Did this change? I actually would like to be able to receive an email notification if I create a task for myself.
I love the idea of creating a task for myself from a slack I receive, that then becomes an email. As a zero inboxed this would be ideal. It seems this thread was responded to and now this functionality no longer exists.

+1 🙂... notifications of self initiated events are kind of redundant.

Lukáš Řádek: agreed, and counterproductive in my opinion

Curtis BurnsLots of folks commenting that they need notifications turned off for when they assign themselves a task. But I'm in the other group - I mostly assign tasks to others, so for the few I assign to myself, I want them to show up in my inbox, and not get lost. The obvious fix is it needs to be an option we can set.

We have been using ClickUp for a few months. I have created around 300 recurring tasks that are assigned only to me. Most are related to my month-end close work. I get notifications for these tasks when I modify ANYTHING on the task and also when the recurrence is created. While these notifications are manageable for most of the month, for the 3-5 days I am work on our month-end close, the notifications fill up my inbox faster than I can delete them. When I was closing out May (the first week of June), I got hundreds of notifications in just a couple of days. Not only is the time spent deleting them not a good use of my time, it makes it extremely easy to overlook a Notification I might actually need to read. Please update the Notification features to Allow Users To Exclude Notifications For Tasks They Created That Are Assigned Only To Them. Please, please, please put this on the roadmap.

Have the option to turn off notifications for tasks you assign to yourself.

How do people function getting bombarded with task notifications emails when they're creating tasks for themselves all the time? Do you just use email filters for this?

[from CS ticket] to also enable a notification to only send a notification for when tasks are assigned to me from other users, not when I assign myself a task
