Notebook/Notes Feature
complete

A notebook feature that would allow users to have a truly useful, in-app place to stores notes. Currently I try to store notes in description fields of Tasks/Subtasks, but I've realize that retrieving these notes becomes a challenge if I have completed one of the tasks. I either have to search for the note, or have to show closed tasks. Teamwork provides a good example of how this feature can work (See attached).
Alternatively, integration with Evernote or OneNote may be a short term solution.

Will it be possible to set global notes that are available to specific team members? This is something I would love to see. Been able to have my personal with shared notes across team.

Zeb: Wewt! I suppose the next question is when/if this will be available on the mobile app?
Zeb
Mike Meyers: It's on the schedule for last week of April

Zeb: Was this completed in April? I'm having problems locating the feature on my mobile :(
Zeb
Pip Meecham: It's not on mobile yet. For iOS it will be released this week, for Android in about a month or so.
Pip Meecham
Zeb: OK roll on the Android rollout ;) Thank you for the quick reply!

Agreed. A notetaking feature on the task feed would be great. Trying to take notes in the description, adding them as files, or writing them in the feed section all fall short of what is truly needed.

Project level notes would be huge for our team. It helps w/ many simple things. Please just make sure they can include links... so we can have handy links to dev, to test, to staging, to prod, environments etc...
I too like the way teamwork allows you to have notebooks in categories. The way I'd approach it though is to have categories, and then multi page notebooks that you can create in each category. I don't think teamwork allows multi page notebooks. Each notebook is one page only.

FWIW - I would also love to see notes have their own permissions routine so that I can take personal notes and attach them directly to tasks. There are some notes I might want my team to see and then there are definitely those that I do not...

Yes, a place to store reference material is something I'm missing too. FacileThings (which I use as personal GTD app) has a nice feature for this:

Absolutely. when I need to save a password or something, it doesn't need to be "Open" or "Closed"

This has for years been my biggest gripe about Asana. A distinct but isolated area to hold notes to be associated with projects / tasks later would be a huge boost to the platform. I presently use OneNote as my note taking platform and then awkwardly associate those notes back to a project via link etc. It works but it's hacky and there is definitely a better way. I should say that it has become pretty important for me, in my note taking to have pen support - which I know is a stretch in the browser environment...

I thought about this very thing the other day when I was in OneNote and thought it would be really nice to have a OneNote type section to Clickup so your working out of a single program.
