New UI seen in Feature Fest looks bad! Please don't release it! (Sept 2024)

The UI seen in Feature Fest (Sept 2024) looks really bad. Please don't release this!
There are so many dark lines everywhere, it's so visually distracting.
The Apple-fied rounded corners and borders everywhere reduce usable space and also add to visual clutter.
The border also makes it looks like the main screen is floating over something, which it's not.
The UI is very visually distracting, unlike the current clean v3 UI.

Also, why is this collapsed sidebar so big compared to the current neat, tidier, smaller one that takes up way less space (and so gives you more real estate to work with on the main screen), and is much less distracting?
I hope we can still make it small like the current one.
Sorry if this seems like I am jumping the gun, but it seems like a good idea to flag these things before any release (if it does get released).

Guy Mannerings I really hope this isn't what's coming the wasted space, extra clicks, and countless individually small inefficiencies are adding up to significantly decrease the user experience.

Natalie Williams The current 3.0 UI is really pretty good. It's clean and pretty quick to use. There aren't many distracting elements (other than the floating AI button). Overall, it's quite nice to look at.
The new one looks like it's made for tablets with its big sidebar, and the dark lines everywhere are so visually distracting.
I am also tired of this "follow Apple" designing that all products follow. - The rounded edges everywhere are not useful at all - they cut off content, don't maximise screen real estate, and make everything look like it's floating, which actually makes it harder to focus on because nothing ever looks like it's your focus.
There is not need to keep changing the UI.
I really hope this was just a test and they decided not to go through with it!
