It would be great to be able to edit existing tasks directly with the Chrome Extension.

Chrome Extension V3 - Bookmark - Date and Assignee

Paolo Albera
Hi there,
with the new version of the chrome extension is not possibile anymore to add Date and Assignee when you bookmark a website.
In other words you should make possible again to bookmark a website such as a task.
Please add this essential and useful feature asap.
Thanks in advance

Tag tasks within Chrome Extension
Monica Tarantino
Creating tasks via email with the extension is wonderful. However, I would also like to be able to set the tags for those tasks within the extension.

It would be really helpful if the extension allowed us to set custom field values at the time a task is created.
For example, we use ClickUp for support tickets. Often, tickets start from an email or chat, and we create the task directly using the ClickUp extension. As part of our workflow, we try to capture specific details like task start date and other custom field data. Right now, that requires creating the task first, then going back into ClickUp to find it and manually update those fields.
Being able to set custom fields directly within the extension during task creation would save time, reduce back-and-forth steps, and help ensure more consistent data capture from the start. Alex Lashkov

Shawn Clement we are now a bit swamped with all the feature requests for the new extension, but I will find out what the limitations here might be and if for e.g. Brain should be able to set those things for you if you specify them

Alex Lashkov Hey Alex, what does "not on the roadmap" mean, can you give more details please?
Alex Lashkov
Neel C we've released a new extension and will be developing it
Elías Gómez
Alex Lashkov So it IS on the Roadmap 😅 Even if the functionality is not going to be developed, it is common to have it in the roadmap with a discarded status, not an "not on the roadmap" status.
Neel C
Alex Lashkov I see, thou I am still unclear whats happening. But I guess in new release there will be more details as you mentioned there is a new extension
Alex Lashkov
Elías Gómez another extension is on the roadmap https://feedback.clickup.com/browser-extension/p/new-chrome-extension not the v3 of the old extension, this is what I meant
Alex Lashkov
Neel C here is the link to the new extension's thread https://feedback.clickup.com/browser-extension/p/new-chrome-extension. If smth is unclear, I would be happy to provide more context for sure!
Neel C
Alex Lashkov oh I understand now. This is awesome, will install and try out soon. Thank you for the prompt answers!

Alex Lashkov I tried the new extension and It seems like it's really just AI focused and doesn't have all the abilities that the all extension has. Please tell me this is going to change.
Alex Lashkov
Frank Filippelli this is going to change yep!
Alex Lashkov
Neel C share your feedback on our new extension thread: https://feedback.clickup.com/browser-extension/p/new-chrome-extension Excited to hear your thoughts!

I've been using the Brain Chrome Extension, and i love how it opens a lil chat sidebar in the browser. I would love the ability to have a similar experience with ClickUp Chat. It's really cumbersome to have to switch tabs or apps to just check a message, or send a quick message. having a lil sidebar that i can pop open to chat, and it's present everywhere.

Hi Alex Lashkov, my request for the Chrome Extension is email-related.
Challenge 1 - Email attachments:
If an email is attached to a task or used to create a new task other peope i my team cc'd into the same email aren't aware of this. This means that sometimes things are added to ClickUp in duplicate.
Challenge 2 - Email sent via ClickUp:
We love being able to send email via ClickUp but if I cc our team into an email sent via ClickUp they aren't aware that it has been sent via ClickUp where there might be additional context.
Solution:
Labelling. If the Chome extension was able indicate to others using the Chrome extension connected to the same workspace if an email has been attached to ClickUp or if an email has been sent via ClickUp this would reduce confusion and increase productivity.
Alex Lashkov
Nathaniel Cassidy It might be not that easy to get an info about emails within the thread, and there are also privacy concerns we need to address. Sending emails via ClickUp - not quite understand how we could try to solve this with extension?
