New Action: Remove Task from List

Yes, this would be great! My current "work around" for this is to filter the view, but ideally, I don't want it in that list at all. I know there's a manual way to do it, but having this as an automation would be fantastic!

This really should be considered an essential feature, if the option to 'add' via automation is there then it's is a no-brainer that 'remove' should too.
The reason I want to use such automation is already a work-around to another missing feature. We have a lists per client of ours and use a custom field to flag which tasks should be visible to client (guest) users. I wanted to create a view on that list for guests, which has a filter applied to this "visible to guests" custom field marked. But NO, guest permissions can only be set at list level not view level.
My work-around was to have an external 'copy' of the list and use an automation to add the TIML if the custom field is changed to "Visible". If a user toggles the custom field to "Visible" in error then the task will be added to the client list. Without this automation we cannot ensure the task is removed if the user corrects their mistake by changing it back to "not visible". We now risk exposing information outside the company which shouldn't be.
I fought for nearly a year to persuade my company to invest in an Ent+ plan and this is not the first very basic missing feature which has made me look very pretty foolish. Not impressed

I think this was done? When you open the task pop up at the top it'll say which list it's in with +# with a drop down, from there you can see all the lists it's in and remove from that list by hitting the 3 dots next to the list

Veronika Prophet - this is not an automation, it's a manual action

Jon Stutfield fair point, didn't realise this was specific to automate it. Took me long enough to find a way to remove from a list even if manually - not mentioned in their help articles or anywhere I could find!

Having automation that can add to lists but not remove is such a big drag on project management automation.

This would be incredibly valuable. Please consider adding this.

This would absolutely be SO helpful to Project administration when we have tasks undergoing a lot of complex flows.
For example in an IT department where tasks can come in from several different sources and undergo a rather complex flow that may require presence in list with entry status flows and the task needs to end up in other lists with production status flow. If the task needs to be moved + added to several lists throughtout the proces and removed from several lists at the end of the proces - this can basically not be done without doing manual moves manual removing

This NEEDS to be a thing!! Please implement 😁
