Nested levels of Subfolders
building now

Today, ClickUp supports one level of subfolders inside a Folder. Teams with deep organizational structures (agencies managing client → project → workstream, enterprises mirroring department → division → team, construction companies tracking program → site → phase) are forced to either flatten their hierarchy into naming conventions or spin up extra Spaces as a workaround.
We'd like the ability to nest subfolders at least 2–5 levels deep so workspaces can mirror real-world org structures without sacrificing a clean, navigable sidebar.

Update: we've started building nested subfolders 🚀
Subfolders shipped earlier this year, but they only go one level deep, and a lot of you have told us that isn't enough for client, project and department setups. Eng work to support deeper nesting (Folder › Subfolder › Subfolder...) is now in progress.
We'll share more on timing and exact details on how many levels we support once we're further along. Keep the use cases coming in the comments, they're directly shaping how we build this.

Hemant Kumar Great work on this.
One thing I want to flag - While this is going to be really useful, it is 100% going to make certain things harder to find across the board.
For that reason, I really think we need two things:-
- A proper Files view, where it shows all files in a location, and shows where they are (attached to a Task, Doc, etc). As a smple list, but also grouped under the item they are in.
Without this, files will absolutely 100% get lost and be extremely hard to find.
- A way to search inside individual Tasks. So the search cascades down through Subtasks as well. To search all elements inside that Task only - Task Description, Subtasks, Attachments, etc.

Guy Mannerings Hello, you absolutely need file space to create and store customer files such as videos, logos, design create etc. because you have to juggle Google Drive, it's complicated, and be able to select the image of a task and click on “move” → in the folder link for example, and drop it to the location. All that's needed is to save on my Google Drive at €29.99 per month and put everything on ClickUp, or even put invoices etc. in folders that can be put in private with a code so that members or employees do not have access, even to the pay slips that they can see, etc. The goal is not to leave the app (a file like Apple for example, with colored files, etc.)

This is great! It will also be helpful if permission for each nested folder can be set independently.

Up to 5 would be nice.

5-6. We've waited over 5 years...we've earned it.

I need 10 levels to be able to map complex structures. In GoodDay (https://www.goodday.work/), this is easily possible.

Agreed with majority here - 5 levels total would be ideal!
