The “average” aggregation is not currently available for Formula Custom Fields in the Y-axis of Bar Chart cards. This is a known limitation, and there is no workaround to display the average of a Formula field in a Bar Chart card at this time.

This is a glaring limitation of ClickUp dashboards for me. I have a custom formula field that shows the amount of days between task In Progress to task Done. In List view ClickUp can calculate the average at the end of a column but when I apply this formula field as the Y-axis parameter in a bar chart, it only calculates the sum of these numbers by default—with no way tweaking how the data is read.
This is incredibly frustrating as I will have to outsource the generation of of these charts to external software when ClickUp is perfectly capable of achieving this outside of dashboard cards.
