Native Pomodoro Timer on the built-in Time Tracker
Nicolas Potier
ClickUp already has a timer on every task. Adding a configurable countdown mode (25 min default + custom intervals) with audio/visual alerts for work and break phases would be trivially simple and massively useful. Every third-party Pomodoro integration (PomoDone, Toggl, Clockify) relies on Chrome extensions that don't work with the desktop app. That's a dead end. A native Pomodoro mode on the existing timer would eliminate the need for any external tool, keep all time data inside ClickUp, and work on desktop, web, and mobile. This has been requested for years.

Until there's a native version, I built a workaround that runs inside ClickUp, including the desktop app (screenshot attached). It's an Embed on a Dashboard or in a List, using the public API.
It starts and stops the ClickUp timer on a task you pick, so only the work blocks get logged, not the breaks. At the end of each block it plays a sound and sends a native desktop notification. Work blocks, short breaks, long breaks and the number of blocks before a long break are all adjustable.
Limits: it lives in a view / dashboard card rather than the global timer bar, and if the card is unloaded when a block ends, the alert only fires when you come back. It's not a replacement for a native feature, and I'm still voting for this one, but it works today.
