Jan 26, 2022: Apparently there's still no way to privately transfer spaces/projects/tasks from one team to another with all elements including comments, which some of us really need.
Is this not getting any attention because the issue is marked "complete"? Do we need to open a new issue?
Daniel Eichling
Todd Zimmerman: I've run across this with several issues the community raises and I have no idea how to properly escalate or get visibility on the fact that "completed" requests are not actually at all complete or fixed (in the case of bugs). It's pretty lame honestly and I've started to call the maneuver "Pulling a Clickup" where you deliver something that you tell a customer is what they wanted/fixed, when it isn't what they wanted/fixed, but you resolve the issue and ignore all future comments on it and just pretend it's done.

There still is no way of moving complete spaces, including the comments? The comments are the most important part in our case...
Mauro
Please add the option to move spaces, folders and list from one workspace to another!
Tor André Sandum
Why is this marked complete? Sharing a public template link is really not good, especially with all the bugs mentioned below?

I have followed the instructions below but I cannot view the comments on tasks in the space that I have transferred.
You created this task by copying #Mzc*** (You Don't Have Access)
Am I missing something ? How do you also transfer comments or gain access to them ? These are critical for us.

Is there a way to this without either rebuilding everything from 0 on or getting in conflict with GDPR laws, because I might have to make customer Data Publicly available?
Dan Reynolds
Sercan Kahraman: this is my concern as well

Thanks for the assistance here! Hopefully no one stole my personal tasks in the 2 minutes it took to move my spaces over :)

I'm a bit confused reading all of this thread - I also came across this issue and the solution is pretty easy, but nobody frm Clickup supplied us with a complete answer.
Here is what you need to do STEP BY STEP:
- Just select whatever part of your Workspace you want to move somewhere else. It can be either entire Space, a list, a folder or whatever part you want to move.
- Then click those three dots beside the thing you chose and select Template Center --> Save as Template.
- Switch Public Sharing and save the link provided in your clipboard.
- Open this link in a web browser and Clickup will ask you where you want this template to be imported. You can select all Workspaces you have access to.
That's it. Simple, not intuitive though.

Bartosz Kołodziejczak: Thanks for your help, the "open link in web browser" was the toughest bit.

Peter Stronach: True 🙈🙃

Bartosz Kołodziejczak: this works fine for some cases. However, this approach will not work for anyone who has sensitive information in their workspace. I don't want to make sensitive data public just to move it.

Bartosz Kołodziejczak: It works fine except for one thing. It seems that you lose all the coments on each task, unless I'm doing something wrong.

Bartosz Kołodziejczak: Perfect solution - thank you!

Bartosz Kołodziejczak: Change to the "Workspace" you want to paste it into, then paste the link.

Miguel Almeida: Yeah losing the comments is a huge bummer if one is transferring a big project.

Yes, please add this functionality. It would really make the product even more flexible and also - for someone like me - "beginner proof"... ;-) ...
