Like many people here, I waited years for this — then finally built it myself.
SpaceMove (https://spacemove.microspear.app) moves a Space from one workspace to another using ClickUp's official API:
- Full hierarchy: folders → lists → tasks → subtasks, all levels
- Comments with threads and rich text (the API doesn't allow impersonation, so the original author is kept as an "[Originally by X on date]" prefix)
- Attachments (re-uploaded file by file), checklists with resolved state, space tags with colors
- Dependencies and task links, re-wired to the new task IDs
- Custom field values — the API can't create field definitions, so the free preview gives you an exact checklist of fields/statuses to create in the target first, then everything maps by name
It's copy-only: nothing in your source workspace is ever touched. You get a full free preview before anything is written, an audit CSV mapping every old ID to its new ID, and a one-click undo that deletes everything the migration created.
Being honest about limits, because this thread deserves honesty: automations, whiteboards, forms and task activity history can't move — ClickUp exposes no API for them at all.
Scanning and previewing any Space is free. If you're consolidating client workspaces or merging after an acquisition, I'd genuinely love your feedback — this thread is the reason the tool exists.

Please enable copying over automations saved on a template into another workspace.

I want to use one workspace for my project management team, another one for the dev team and a third one for my service desk team.
Tickets often need to be crossing between Workspaces. Need this feature asap to move from zendesk an jira. thank you

Armine Seropyan for our use case this make it hard for an enterprise size business to scale. The along with the subfolder architecture will help greatly. What comes to mind is the Smartsheet architecture, but ClickUp being the superior product 😉

I am wanting this feature please. As a self employed person, I have had my work related material in a space inside my single personal workspace. Now I am hiring people and want to move the work related space to a company workspace. The fact it has been so long requested probably means it is a core design issue, with workspaces being very separate on the servers. A shift in core organisation is much more than a feature request....so I will not hold any hope of it happening. It would be nice if you could say that, if it is the case, then people could understand why you're not implementing it despite the number of votes.

Yes, agreed with the other 2800+ customers of ClickUp. Migrating lists, projects, tasks and the Space itself between Organisations/Workspaces is a much needed feature. I'd say it's a pretty basic requirement for any enterprise task management system.
How has this been an open suggestion for 7 years now? Doesn't seem like it will ever be supported... Not having this as an option basically means opening the door for any of your paying clients to leave ClickUp and start fresh with a competitor. I mean, why not if you essentially need to start from scratch during an organisation migration, merge or acquisition.
