More Powerful PDF Markup tool
Dan King
Currently, the only markup is the numbered point. It would be great to be able to pick from a toolkit that included point, line, or polygon but critically, keeps the sequence (1, 2, 3, etc).

We need a way to draw or write directly on a PDF using a finger or Apple Pencil and have those changes saved seamlessly. I work in a cabinet shop where we keep our plans in ClickUp as PDF documents. Everyone on the team needs to be able to make notes on these PDFs, and those notes should be visible to anyone who opens the document.
The types of notes we need to make include:
- Changes to a cabinet
- What cabinets are built
- What cabinets are sent to finishing
- What cabinets are installed
Currently, I can click on the PDF in ClickUp from my phone, tap the share button, and select 'Markup' to draw or add notes. However, there is no way to save those edits directly back to ClickUp. The only option is to save the file somewhere else and re-upload it, which creates multiple versions and adds unnecessary steps, leading to confusion and inefficiency.
What we need is a solution that allows us to:
- Edit or mark up the PDF directly (drawing, notes, etc.).
- Save those changes back to the original file in ClickUp without creating additional versions or requiring extra steps.
This would greatly simplify our workflow and ensure everyone is always looking at the most up-to-date version of the document.

I agree. Stronger markup tools are needed. This has been one of the most painful features that we have had to adjust to switching from Wrike. We mark up PDF's frequently and having to exit ClickUp and move over to Adobe or another application and then back into CU is frustrating. This seems like an easy to add feature considering the ClickUp Chrome extension has this feature.

Ability to mark up pdf's and images (jpegs / png's) in the app, using in iOS Apple Pencil kit.

I second this request. Strangely enough, the Chrome extension offers all of these markup tools (see attached GIF), so why aren't they available in ClickUp itself? Strange.
