This would be very helpful. I have a form that submits customer info into our custom CRM, and I merge the two items. But sometimes one of the custom fields had better info than the new item, and now that original content is lost forever.

This would be great.
Other things we'd love to be able to do/see regarding merged tasks:
1) We really need to be able to search on the custom task Id of any of the tasks that got dissolved and find the task that remained.
2) In the history of the task that remains:
2.1) we'd like to be able to see the custom task Id of the "deleted" task - not the ClickUp unique Id. This might then be enough for point 1 above to automatically work.
2.2) the dissolved task name gets truncated and there is no way to see the entire name. Could this history item be expandable or hover over to show tooltip of full task name?
2.3) maybe make the history item an interactive box that allows restore and contains the list of tasks that got merged in with custom task Ids?
