Make Relationship/Rollup fields reportable in dashboards
Emily Prasad
We cannot currently pull relationship or rollup fields into Dashboard reporting. We are using relationships & rollup fields to keep regularly updated fields up to date across all lists/tasks (i.e. if a person's manager changes and they're also on our training waiting list, we only have to change the manager in one place but the info flows through to the linked task in the waiting list as well). For example, I'd like to be able group a dashboard chart by manager to see how many people with the same manager are on the waitlist (or from the same team, in the same level, etc.).

Please prioritize. Our company would benefit from dashboard cards that could filter on the exact "Linked Task" in the relationship. Currently, you can only filter on "has linked task" but not the specific linked task. My only workaround is to create a custom field > text, and fill it in manually to filter my dashboard cards. This of course leaves room for spelling/mismatch issues, dual maintenance, etc.

Sarah Bakan: Thank you for your feedback. I can't promise when this will happen, but we are actively looking at areas to improve our dashboards and supporting more fields is one of the areas and this is one of the candidates we are looking into.

Kindly prioritize this, thanks.

Thanh Nguyen Tien: It's on the list of things we want to do. Hopefully we will get to this in the prioritization queue fairly soon.

I really ask you to make this a priority! My organization would use it daily, it's really a problem today that it doesn't work.
We are a real estate company, we own about 350 properties. These have a lot of data attached to them and we have a list in ClickUp that acts as a simple database with data associated with each property (=a task).
By relating project listings to this real estate listing, we save a ton of time, we can reuse the data in the list to other listings. But not in dashboards! And that's where our managers primarily look. The same managers who decide whether we should bet on ClickUp or not.

Sofia Wreding: Thank you for your reply! We're are actively looking at ways to improve out dashboards, and this is one of the things we'll be exploring.

Hello, Is there any update on this??
Sigurd Seteklev
Bryson Allen: I don't have any updates for you right now. I understand this is a need, but this exact request is not something we have been able to prioritize yet.
We will update when there are movement on this one.

This broke a potential enterprise deal for me as the company needed to report on relationships. This means that they went with monday.com, as there you can report on relationships. Hope this is prioritized asap as many companies need this.

Seems like a simple feature that would make relationship reporting possible in dashboards. Custom fields are already allowed to be grouped by in dashboards, why not a relationship field?

Also, if you go to the data tab in a pie chart, for instance, you can add a relationship field to the data tab table, AND group by it! But you can't group the pie chart visual by the same relationship field???

as we can now filter by relationships, it's makes sense to be able to use relationship fields as measurement and/or group by parameters on charts. Especially frustrating as I cannot update custom dropdowns/label fields based on things like task names (maybe I could use Make but when I looked it was really complicated if possible at all), so I'm forced to manually create relationship fields (so I can cross reference) AND dropdowns/labels (so I can use in dashboards and create multiple automations (using zapier/make) to keep them updated/synced
