Maintain Task Type on Recurring Tasks

When you create a task that repeats as a new task, it does not maintain the task type you assigned it.

I created a bi-weekly report system in Clickup using recurring tasks, the report questions are in the description and the answers are filled out below every question in the task description. When the task is marked complete, a new task is created but carries over the previous report instead of the blank template.
Is this being worked on?

I can't believe this is from 2023, today I noticed how some of my recurring tasks are losing their frequency status, I NEED THEM DAILY, I need that to be solved.

We recently got a fix, so please let us know if there are any further issues here. 🙏

With things like this, in progress for a year...Clickup makes it very hard for people to stay. Really, a year??? It sometimes seems like no one actually track these things, probably because he/she thinks that someone else is...🤦🏻♂
Also, the supidiest think is that some recurring tasks actually keep their task type and others do not.

Still not implemented though you started to work on this in May? A status update would be nice 🙏

Silly this was missed as core functionality for recurring tasks.

Nice to see this on the radar to be fixed. I might have to create an automation like someone else suggested to help correct this oversight while waiting.

This is rather tragic that we are almost a year older and still this isn't fixed. Automation is a workaround for a bug that should never existed.

I created an automation that every time a task is created, and it has a task type of (task), it changes the task type to whatever it should be. Solved my problem.
