I need to have mentioning people possible in the LIST COMMENTS area - I'm really surprised this doesn't work in this area presently, also because it shows up there to be a possibility but then doesn't function (which is really confusing for guests).
I intend on using this area for clients to submit retainer requests by mentioning me in a comment in this area (so that I get a notification directly). I would REALLY appreciate if you guys could get this working. It makes things very straightforward for my clients to be able to have one quick place to submit a request and upload files without having to TOUCH a single task below (but view - for a good overview for their knowledge).
Same goes for being notified of any files uploaded to that area. It would be great to get notification of that.

You can already mention people within List Info comments!

This works now as far as I can tell, but what would be great is if the List itself was represented in the "mentions" area of the task. Goes along with the request for linking to Goals and lists, even folders:
This is particularly useful I think as docs progress, because you will often be referring to a collection of tasks, such as a Goal or List, in those docs, and not just individual tasks. For example, in Content Campaign planning, Marketing roll-outs, Sprint planning (which should be a group of task be it a List or Goal), etc.

I also can't find list comments at all on a mobile device. Does it exist?

Yes, we have just noticed today that you can mention someone here but then nothing happens - they receive no notification. It does seem weird that the UI suggests that this is functional.
