Clickup is amazingly full-featured. But across the past year or so I've been subscribed, I just haven't been able to "get into it" and have it help me the way that I need. Honestly, I rarely use it... although I keep trying.
Reminder/Task issues that keep me from using Clickup:
  1. Can't set RECURRING overdue reminders.
The biggest problem is that I start ignoring my overdue tasks because I'm not constantly nagged about them. (The "daily report" _email_ is not sufficient. I need PUSH notifications.)
Then, if something is overdue, a single reminder about it is NOT enough. I'd like to be able to set a
recurring
daily PUSH NOTIFICATION to go off for overdue tasks.
  1. Can't control reminder notification frequency BY TASK.
It's really very restrictive to have to set reminder days/times globally. It is NOT enough to be reminded a single time "the day before" it's due (for example), then "the day after" it's overdue... and that's it.
Also, I don't need reminders for ALL tasks.
But I DO need multiple reminders for SOME tasks. (Ex: Some URGENT tasks need SEVERAL reminders leading up to the due date... then definitely several more if they become overdue.)
But as far as I understand, I can't do this. I'm limited to global controls that work exactly the same for ALL tasks, in ALL projects, in ALL spaces.
So then... personal spaces are, by design, given the same reminders as urgent professional tasks.
I hope you can see the problem here.
-----------
These things are really very restrictive for me, as the primary reason I use task managers is for constant reminders that alert me at precisely the times and dates that I need them.
Finally, this also applies to working efficiently with a team. Different workers need to be nudged (or nagged) in different ways to help keep them on task. The inability to do so causes more work for the project manager, who has to not only figure out how to keep themselves "sufficiently reminded" for what's upcoming and overdue... but also nag the workers who have missed their own single notifications.
Can this please be planned ASAP?
