Hi everyone,
Thank you for feedback here. I'm happy to share that we do have early version of IP restriction controls available to Enterprise customers today! We currently offer two flavors:
- Full traffic IP restriction– Restricts all traffic (not just login) based on allowed IP ranges. This is the more comprehensive option and aligns closely with what you've described — ensuring users can only access the platform from within your organization's network or VPN.
- Public API traffic IP restriction– Scopes the IP allowlist specifically to public API traffic, giving you control over programmatic access from trusted IP ranges.
Both options can be configured at the workspace level.
Since this is early version for Enterprise customers, I'd recommend reaching out to your account manager or me to get access.

I would like to request a feature that allows us to restrict user login based on IP addresses.
We want to make sure users can only log in with their credentials when they are inside the organization’s network (for example, from the office or through VPN). This means blocking logins from public or unknown IPs.
if there’s an option to set allowed IP address ranges, so we can control where users are logging in from may be at workspace level. This will help improve security and make sure access is only given from trusted locations.
Is this something that’s currently supported or planned in future updates? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It would be incredibly helpful to be able to limit the scope of a public item by allowing a user to specify a list of IP addresses that are whitelisted to access the item. Opening items to the entire world gives us concerns about spam and security and IP filtering would help address those concerns.

Our organization also urgently needs IP address whitelisting for user logins. We handle sensitive PHI data and must restrict access to company devices and office networks only. The ability to enforce IP restrictions per user would greatly enhance our security and compliance. Other platforms already offer this, and it’s becoming a critical requirement for us to continue using ClickUp. Please prioritize this feature!
