iOS Reminder Feature in App
Joshua Simon
I would like to submit a feature request for the iOS version of ClickUp. Specifically, I am requesting the addition of a reminder functionality for tasks and notifications.
Currently, the desktop version of ClickUp allows users to set reminders for tasks, which is incredibly helpful for staying on top of deadlines and priorities. However, this feature is not yet available within the iOS app. It would be incredibly beneficial if the iOS app could offer the same ability to set reminders directly from any task or notification, similar to the desktop version.
Having this functionality on mobile would allow users to easily manage their tasks and receive timely reminders, ensuring we stay on track no matter where we are.
Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to seeing this feature in future updates.

I’m with you on this. The lack of native reminders in the iOS app is something I notice almost every day. On desktop, setting a reminder directly on a task feels so natural, but on mobile I end up either relying on due dates alone or jumping out to Apple Reminders, which kind of breaks the flow.
For people who work mostly from their phones, this would be a huge quality-of-life improvement. I often check tasks quickly while I’m out, and being able to add a reminder right then (instead of telling myself “I’ll do it later” and forgetting 😅) would make ClickUp feel much more complete on iOS.
This is especially true if you’re managing content or social media work. For example, when I’m planning short-form content schedules (including things like TikTok/Reels-style platforms such as TikTok 18), reminders are critical for posting times, edits, or follow-ups. When you’re tracking tasks related to sites like https://reels18.com/, a quick mobile reminder can be the difference between posting on time or missing a slot entirely.
Hopefully the ClickUp team brings feature parity between desktop and iOS soon. Even a basic “set reminder from task” option would go a long way. Thanks for raising this — definitely +1 from me.

I completely agree with your point—having reminders on the iOS app would honestly be a game-changer. I use ClickUp heavily for both work tasks and personal projects, and right now I still have to switch to the desktop version just to set reminders. That’s really inconvenient when you’re on the go.
From my experience, mobile push notifications make a huge difference for time-sensitive tasks. I actually realized how important timely reminders are after watching productivity videos on YouTube Premium content (I was using the mod version from https://ytmodz.com/), where many creators highlight how instant mobile alerts help prevent missed deadlines. ClickUp already does this well on desktop, so bringing the same reminder functionality to iOS would make task management much smoother.
I’ve seen some users rely on workarounds like syncing ClickUp with Apple’s Reminders app, but honestly, it’s not seamless and becomes confusing once you have a lot of tasks. A native reminder feature inside the iOS app would be much cleaner and more reliable.
Hopefully, the ClickUp team seriously considers this—it would benefit a lot of mobile users.

I completely agree with you, Joshua. Having a proper reminder feature on the iOS version would make a big difference. I use ClickUp for both work and personal tasks, and the lack of reminders on mobile is one of the few things that still pushes me back to the desktop app.
What I’ve been doing as a workaround is using native iOS reminders or calendar notifications and linking them to ClickUp tasks, but it’s not the most efficient setup — especially when you’re on the go. It kind of defeats the purpose of having an all-in-one productivity app.
It’d be great if the mobile app could mirror the desktop functionality, where you can just set a quick reminder from within the task itself. Maybe even having the option to sync with iOS notifications or Siri would be a nice touch too.

Totally agree with this request, Joshua. I’ve been using ClickUp on both desktop and iOS for a while, and the lack of reminders on mobile is probably the one thing that still throws off my workflow. On desktop, I rely heavily on reminders to keep me from missing smaller follow-ups or quick check-ins, but when I’m out and about, I have to manually set iPhone reminders instead — which kind of defeats the purpose of having everything in ClickUp.
It’d make a huge difference if the iOS app supported native reminders, especially since most of us check our phones way more than our computers. Even something as simple as being able to long-press a task and set a quick reminder time would be great. Hopefully, the dev team considers this soon — it feels like one of those quality-of-life features that would make ClickUp feel much more complete on mobile.
Interestingly, some users who test beta or modified builds of productivity apps use third-party app stores like Scarlet iOS https://scarletiosstore.com/
to try out versions that include experimental notification features before they’re officially released. It’s a neat workaround for anyone who wants to explore how mobile reminders could function differently on iOS.
