intuitive way to select all or disselect all

its's standardized to have a dot/square above a list to select or deselect all items in a list. the workaround is to select shift and select the end of the list.
Display at least a shadow check circle to select or deselect it
Also, on the cfontrary, deselect does not work well using shift.

Totally agree, As a new user, the first place I looked for bulk select was at the top of the list. I was a bit surprised not to find it there!

YES!! I recently had to make a bulk change to 5000+ tasks and I had to scroll to load tasks to use the select all - even using the select all function in 'grouping'. Why is there no select all that actually SELECTS ALL?

Select "All" (caveat emptor)
ClickUp is one of the only places I've ever seen "Select All" imply that you're selecting everything, but then only select what's been loaded in the view. The closest (off the top of my head) may be Gmail's Select checkbox (or on the dropdown you can select All) that gives you a notice at least saying /you've selected 50 of a billion, do you want to select the rest/.
