Insert tables in comments

It would be awesome if there was a way to copy a table from MS Excel into the comments. Right now it changes it to plain text. The ability to paste a picture directly into the comment would be just as awesome too, eliminating the need to save the picture first then attach it.

Awesome! Looking forward to table headers, adjustable col widths, etc...

It would be great if we can copy-paste the table from MS-Excel into Description, Comments as well as custom text fields. It would be awesome too if we can paste the picture in said fields.

It would be awesome if there was a way of inserting tables into Document/wiki views as well.

I think a key issue is where to locate tables. My vote would be within a task and page (possibly conflicting requirement).
Within tasks, my vote would be to create a separate element (i.e. similar to checklists and just below the text area.
By keeping it as a discrete element, the dev team could add a lot more functionality than if it was embedded in the text or comments area.

We need to add tables not only to comments, but also to Doc. For example Evernote has quite good tables with formatting, so you can get inspiration there (take a look at pic). We want to use Doc for Wiki and we need tables to use there inside of Doc.

Martin Melecky: yes, in docs and task descriptions as well, and with full formatting, important so you can include task links with full unfurling.

Zeb very glad this is planned, super key feature for me and my team, and one I thought was conspicuously missing from the text boxes (task description, notepad, comments, description of lists, etc.) across Clickup!

Can it be like Markdown Tables? It's a simpler approach and easy to use!

This also would be great in the notepad!
