There is not enough color contrast and saturation in timeline views when using the "Color by: custom field" option. As a result, it's very difficult to distinguish between different colors, leading to very poor visual usability and readability.

For example, similar tones like orange and red are nearly indistinguishable. While in the custom dropdowns colors appear vivid and saturated, these same colors appear overly desaturated and "opaqued / washed out" in the timeline view.

This issue is even worse in dark mode, where the black background amplifies the problem—making all colors appear similarly light and hard to differentiate. The result is a visual design that’s nearly unusable.

Request: Please increase the color contrast and saturation in timeline views to restore clarity and improve the user experience. Improving this would significantly enhance how ClickUp can be used in visual and infographical ways. Thank you.
